Step One: Enroll with ABC SoCal
- Get with your ABC Member employer to complete and submit the combined ABC SoCal Electrician Trainee (ET) Program Enrollment and Initial Class Sign-up form, with the required fees.
- We will send you/your employer an enrollment confirmation letter. Keep a copy of this letter as proof that you are enrolled in a state-approved ET program.
- Textbooks will be sold on the 1st night of class.
- You must continue with your course of study to be considered a Trainee
Step Two: Register with the State (updated)
The Craft Training Administration will process and mail out the application for new registration of electrician trainee (ET Card) to the state.
*When your application (ET Card) is processed by state, the state will send you a letter confirming your state-registered Electrician Trainee status. This letter will also include your tracking or “T-number” and trainee card.Winter

- Electrician Trainee (ET) Program Enrollment and Initial Class Sign-up form, with the required fees.
- We will send you an enrollment confirmation letter. Keep a copy of this letter as proof that you are enrolled in a state-approved ET program.
- Textbooks will be sold on the 1st night of class.
- You must continue with your course of study to be considered a Trainee
Step Two: Register with the state
Complete the state registration form. Our “school number” is 102. Staple a copy of the ABC SoCal enrollment confirmation letter to your completed state registration form and mail both to the address below. Be sure to include the state’s $25 registration fee (check or money order).
