March 3rd Primary Election Results, ABC So Cal’s Endorsed Candidates did well.
Well this election was packed with tons of excitement and many successes for ABC supported positions. The Star of the March Primary is the defeat of Proposition 13. It appears that the voters rejected this proposition that was a giveaway to special interests and could have led to PLA’s on all major school bonds in the future. While results are still preliminary the voters said no 55% to 45% yes.
The Chapter saw a majority of the candidates we supported move on to either a November run off or win outright in March. The big victory for ABC was our support of Janet Nguyen in the 72nd Assembly District race. She will go on to face Tyler Diep a liberal Republican that voted to support AB 5 and supported the PLA in Anaheim. Janet is poised for a big fight in November. Also, we saw ABC supported candidate Patricia Lock Dawson advance to the Mayor’s runoff in the City of Riverside. This one will be another big fight for the Merit Shop in November. Big wins for Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner, Riverside Supervisor Kevin Jeffries, Supervisor Dawn Rowe in San Bernardino and former Congressman Paul Cook who will be a new Supervisor in San Bernardino County.
All in all ABC had a good night. Thank you for all you do to support candidates that support the Merit Shop.
